Trainer to Participant Ratio’s

In order for our trainers to be able to provide a fun experience for all participants as well as from a safety point of view, it is our practice not to exceed the ratio of 1 trainer to every 8 participants. For this reason, we request that you inform us if the numbers increase and we ask that you give us as much notice as possible. We cannot guarantee that we can provide extra trainers at the last minute. A full weeks notice is preferred.

Booking and Payment:

Please submit a booking request by clicking the button below.

We will review and accept your request and follow up to confirm availability and to request full payment to finalize the booking.

We will reserve the date and time for you for 72-hours. If payment is not provided in that time, the slot will be released for others to book.

Once your payment has been finalized, you will receive a final confirmation email.

At Circus WA, inclusiveness is important to us. If you need to establish a payment plan to make the birthday party possible then please contact the office.

If a booking is cancelled a $50 cancellation fee will apply. If a party package is reduced within two weeks requiring us to cancel a trainer (e.g. from 27 participants down to 18 participants) a $50 fee will be deducted from your refund.

We would love to host your birthday party!

FAQ

What does the party include?

  • A 1.5-hour circus workshop with a professional circus trainer
  • A 30-minute after-party for snacks and cake
  • A speaker for music
  • A 5-gallon water jug to refill water bottles
  • 2 tables, 2 table cloths, and a dozen chairs
  • A memorable birthday!
What should participants wear?

  • Appropriate athletic clothing such as leggings, gym shorts or tracksuits and a t-shirt
  • Remove socks and shoes at the door and to participate with bare feet
  • Remove watches and jewellery before we begin
  • Long hair should be tied back and away from the face
  • Participants should always have their own water bottle

Where should you park?

There is plenty of parking in the Wilson’s Point Street Multi-Level Car Park as well as the City of Fremantle’s Outdoor Car Park situated immediately behind the big top tent. Both enter from Point Street.

What will the circus workshop be like? Settle into the tent with some fun, age-appropriate games | learn new skills on trampoline, tight-wire, and/or an aerial apparatus in a circus circuit or in stations | try a few manipulation tricks (e.g. hula hoops, flower sticks, diablo, spinning plates, or poi)

What is Manipulation? The apparatus that comes under this is Diablo, Devil Sticks, Ball Juggling and Plate Spinning. These are all fun basics of a circus performer and they will often use these tricks to add to their shows and wow! the crowds.

Why do we always teach Manipulation and hoops in the workshop? Teaching aerials and acrobatics is a very focused and intense process. There are moments during the workshop when participants will be resting, gathering strength and waiting their turn. During these times, we will direct participants to try their hand and learning a new manipulation trick!
